Step 1 — Prep Your Skin
Start by wetting your skin with warm water in the shower or bath. The warm water softens your skin and makes exfoliation easier while reducing friction, which helps prevent irritation.
Step 2 — Scoop the Right Amount
Use a small, quarter sized amount for smaller areas and adjust for larger areas like arms and legs. Avoid using excessive product; less is often more, and it prolongs the life of your scrub. Always use clean, dry hands to scoop the scrub to prevent contamination.
Step 3 — Apply and Massage
- Gently massage the scrub onto your damp skin using circular motions for 1–2 minutes
- Focus on rougher areas such as elbows, knees, heels, and feet, while using lighter pressure on sensitive areas like the chest or inner arms
- Avoid harsh scrubbing; aggressive exfoliation can irritate skin and lead to redness or sensitivity
Step 4 — Rinse Thoroughly
Rinse off the scrub with warm water. Emulsified sugar scrubs are designed to wash away cleanly, leaving your skin soft and smooth without greasy residue
Step 5 — Moisturize
Immediately after rinsing, apply our body butter, to damp skin then finish off with our body oil for optimal results. This will help lock in moisture and keep skin hydrated throughout the day.
Frequency of Use:
- For normal skin, 2–3 times per week is recommended.
- Sensitive skin should use 1–2 times per week.
- Over-exfoliation may lead to irritation, so avoid daily use
Additional Tips:
- Avoid broken skin: Do not use over cuts, sunburn, or active irritation
- Prevent contamination: Keep your scrub jar dry and avoid dipping wet hands into it
- Post-exfoliation care: Sun exposure after exfoliating can increase skin sensitivity, so apply sunscreen if heading outdoors
